Amended 2011/12 Fees and Charges to include new fees and charges for the Byron Regional Sport and Cultural Complex Multipurpose Building

Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on 9 February 2012, resolved to place on public exhibition for a period no less than 28 days a proposal to amend the 2011/2012 Fees and Charges to incorporate proposed new fees and charges as indicated below:

Amendment no.152 - Planning proposal to amend the Local Environmental Plan 1988 to include an additional item in Schedule 8

The intent of this Planning Proposal is to insert an additional item into Schedule 8 of Byron LEP 1988 which enables development consent to be sought and obtained for dwelling house on land described as Lot 2 DP 537488, 2 Tickles Rd, Upper Coopers Creek.  The item will specify conditions for the dwelling house to be sited to achieve a radiant heat exposure from bushfire no greater than 29kW/m2

The Planning Proposal to amend the Byron Shire Local Environmental Plan 1988 to include this item is on exhibition for a period of 14 days from 23 February 2012 to 8 March 2012 and is available for viewing at Council’s Administrative Offices in Mullumbimby.

Proposed Section 356 Donation - Licence fees - Artisan Market

Council on 9 February 2012 resolved to allocate $2,814 under Section 356 of the Local Government (LG) Act to the Byron Bay Community Association as a contribution towards temporary market licence fees to hold the Artisan Market.

This proposal is on exhibition in accordance with Section 356 of the LG Act and if no submissions are received the donation will be granted.
