Register of Chemical Sensitive Residents and Organic Growers - Inclusion for 2010-2011 Register
Council's Register of Chemical Sensitive Residents and Organic Growers is currently being updated to identify residents sensitive to herbicide sprays and certified organic growers.
Residents sensitive to chemical herbicide and certified organic growers who wish to be placed on the Register should apply to Council in writing on the official application form, which is available at either Council's Mullumbimby Administration Offices, or the Byron Works Depot.
Details will be kept confidential and used for mapping purposes only, to enable Council to notify all people on the register of intended spraying activities in accordance with Council's "Pesticide Use Notification Policy".
The Register will be advertised and updated annually and residents currently on the register will be sent renewal notices for inclusion on the 2010-2011 register.
Council reminds residents that if they maintain their road frontage this will minimise the need for spraying.
Applications should be addressed to the General Manager Byron Shire Council PO Box 219 Mullumbimby NSW 2482 and should be received by 31 March 2010.
