2012/13 Budget, Fees and Charges and Integrated Planning documents on public exhibition

Council has resolved to place the Integrated Planning documents, include Draft Community Strategy Plan (CSP), Resourcing Strategy documents, Draft 2012 - 2016 Delivery Program (including the 2012/13 Draft Operational Plan), on exhibition for public comment for a period of 28 days from 5 May 2012 to 5 June 2012.

The Integrated Planning documents referenced above, include but are not limited to:

  • Draft Community Strategy Plan
  • Resourcing Strategy includes: Long Term Financial Pan (10 years)
    • Asset Management Plan (10 years)
    • Workplace Plan (4 years)
  • 2012 - 2016 Draft Delivery Program includes:
    • 2012/13 Draft Operational Plan
    • 2012/13 Draft Statement of Revenue Policy including 2012/13 Draft Budget
    • 2012/13 Draft Fees and Charges

Members of the public are encouraged to inspect these documents and make submissions to Council during the exhibition period. The documents may be inspected at Council’s Community Access Points throughout the Shire and on its website www.byron.nsw.gov.au

Submissions should be made in writing and addressed to the General Manager, Byron Shire Council, PO Box 219 Mullumbimby 2482 or sent by email to submissions@byron.nsw.gov.au. Emailed submissions to this address only will be acknowledged.

Submissions will be made public in accordance with Schedule 1 Part 3 Clause 1(a)(vi) within Schedule 5 Part 2 of the GIPA Act 2009 as applicable including both the substance of the objection and the identity of the objector. Public Exhibition of Draft Byron Developer Contributions Plan 2012

At the 26 April 2012 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to publicly exhibit the draft Byron Developer Contributions Plan 2012 in accordance with clause 28 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 for a period of 28 days. 

The draft Byron Developer Contributions Plan 2012 is on exhibition from 15 May 2012 to 15 June 2012 and is available for viewing at Council’s Administrative Offices Mullumbimby and Community Access Points.

The draft Byron Developer Contributions Plan 2012 was developed to update and replace the Section 94 Development Contributions Plan 2005 (incorporating Amendment No.1).

Draft Sportsfield User Policy 11/006 and Draft Sportsfield Casual Fees and Charges

At Council’s Ordinary Meeting held on 22 March 2012 it was resolved to place the above Draft Policy including the Draft Fees and Charges for Casual Use on public exhibition for a minimum period of 28 days for the making of public submissions.

The Draft Policy and the Draft Fees and Charges for Casual Use are available for viewing at Council’s Administration Office, community access points around the Shire and on Council’s website at www.byron.nsw.gov.au/public-exhibition.

Broken Head Road - Road Rehabilitation Works

14 May 2012 - 29 June 2012

Council wishes to advise that Road Rehabilitation works wil be carried out on Broken head Road from Monday 14 May 2012 until Friday 29 June 2012 weather permitting, during the hours of 9.00am to 3.00pm.

The work zone will commence from 800m south of Broken Head Reserve Road and extend for approximately 475m to the south along Broken Head Road.

Traffic on Broken Head Road during working hours will be restricted to a single lane via traffic control.

In particular, the period from 14 May to 25 May 2012 will have both South and North bound traffic disrupted and delays of up to 20minutes are to be expected during the hours of 9.00am to 3.00pm

Council regrets any inconvenience caused during  these essential road works.
