Positive Ageing Strategy Project Reference Group

Objectives

The purpose of the Positive Ageing Strategy Project Reference Group is

1. To provide advice and assistance in the development of Council's Positive Ageing Strategy including:
   1. Formulation of a community focus group within budget parameters
   2. Assistance with development of content
   3. Identification of gaps in baseline actions and prioritise issues
   4. Review and ratification of draft document to report to Council for exhibition
   5. Review of submissions and analysis of responses
   6. Amendment of draft plan if necessary based on submissions
   7. Finalisation of plan and report to Council for adoption
   8. Identification of social and economic impact of an ageing population
2. Subject to success of NSW Positive Ageing Grants 2009-10 funding application, the PRG will assist in planning an event for International Day for Older People to launch the Ambassador program..
