The purpose of the Positive Ageing Strategy Project Reference Group is
- To provide advice and assistance in the development of Council's Positive Ageing Strategy including:
- Formulation of a community focus group within budget parameters
- Assistance with development of content
- Identification of gaps in baseline actions and prioritise issues
- Review and ratification of draft document to report to Council for exhibition
- Review of submissions and analysis of responses
- Amendment of draft plan if necessary based on submissions
- Finalisation of plan and report to Council for adoption
- Identification of social and economic impact of an ageing population
- Subject to success of NSW Positive Ageing Grants 2009-10 funding application, the PRG will assist in planning an event for International Day for Older People to launch the Ambassador program..
