The Communications Committee is an advisory Committee of the Council and does not have executive power or authority to implement actions.
Purpose
The purpose of the Communications Committee is:
- To lead research and policy direction on communications issues for Byron Shire
- To provide direction to the various sub-committees established by the Communications Committee to work on individual areas
- To consider the reports prepared by sub-committees and refer appropriate policy and strategic direction to Council for their appropriate action
