Business Directories

Sustainable Industry Business Directory

Byron Shire Council has created a new Sustainable Industry Business Directory featuring over 80 local businesses. Inside you'll find fashion designers, eco-tourism operators, trades people and artists and many more local businesses with a sustainability edge.

"Byron Shire has long been home to many innovative small businesses - whether selling hand-made, organic products or offering energy efficiency, eco-tourism or land restoration services. These local businesses are part of the new 'green economy' and we're pleased to showcase them in this Directory'' said Byron Shire Mayor, Simon Richardson.

Next time you need to buy that special gift, call a tradie or take visiting friends on day trip, check out the businesses listed in this Directory.

Sustainable Food Directory

Council has produced a Sustainable Food Business Directory that lists businesses and community enterprises in Byron Shire that stock locally-grown produce, free range eggs, fair trade products, certified organic produce and are plastic bag free. Towns covered by the directory include Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Bangalow.

From small, local businesses to the Shire’s highly regarded Farmers’ Markets, the handy pocket sized guide is a great snapshot of which of our businesses recognise the need to
balance people, prosperity and planet.
