What is Sustainability?

Sustainability is the capacity to maintain quality of life both now and into future. Sustainability relies on:

  • fair, just and dynamic communities,
  • healthy and diverse environments,
  • innovative thinking and creative solutions,
  • active and stable economies.

Byron Shire Sustainability Committee
