Water and sewerage services

  • provided by Byron Shire Council
  • water supply: $1,120 per Equivalent Tenement or Lot, a water connection fee and water usage fee also applies
  • bulk water: $3,495 per Equivalent Tenement or Lot, to Byron Shire Council for Rous County Headworks
  • sewerage: $8,488 per Equivalent Tenement or Lot, sewerage uses charges as per Council’s Trade Waste Policy also apply

Power:

  • provided by Country Energy
  • headworks depend on power load and type of power required

Trade waste

  • provided by Byron Shire Council

Communications

  • provided by Telstra
  • headworks at no charge if installed in conjunction with other services

Physical Attributes Details

Located in a SEPP 71 coastal protection area.  Some of surrounding area is bushfire prone.  Southern part of the estate marginally below the 1% or 1 in 100 year design flood level.  Access recently modified with upgrade to Pacific Highway.

Access Details

The estate is accessed via Wilfred Street to the Pacific Highway directly to the east. The North Coast Railway Terminus at Murwillumbah is located approximately 25 km to the north.
