Expression of interests for inclusion on Council’s Consultant’s register.
A consultant is an organisation or individual contracted to perform specific tasks and to provide expert advice, including recommendations to the Council as a basis for making a decision or taking a certain course of action.
Use of a consultant generally involves independent research and investigation into a particular matter or issue or range of matters or issues together with expert advice with recommendations.
A consultant is characterised by the presence of the following elements:

At a minimum, the following documentation must be submitted with your application:
Applications submitted without all of the required documentation will not comply and Council reserves the right to include or exclude non-complying applications from the register.
Consultants must fully complete the application form and provide all required documentation to qualify for registration.
Council will register all complying applications.
Selection for engagement will be on the principal of best value for public money. This does not automatically mean acceptance of the ‘lowest price’ but may include non-price factors such as quality, experience, delivery time and reliability.
Inclusion on Council’s register does not guarantee work. Nor does inclusion guarantee that you will be asked to provide quotes on all or any required works.
Council reserves the right to engage consultants who are not included on the register.
Council will update the register at least once every four months. Applications received after the annual closing date will be included at this time. Late applications will only be included once all essential documentation has been provided.
Continued registration may be dependant upon performance reviews by Council staff.
